Other salient points from the Pajamas Media article (found through Jihad Watch) about how CAIR is using strong-arm tactics against Fairfax County police, despite the cozy relationship between CAIR and the Fairfax County police.
Some of the incidents have already been covered on the Northern Virginiastan blog, such as the case of Sergeant Weiss Rasool and the participation of chief of police Col. David Rohrer and County Board of Supervisors chairman Gerry Connelly at a 2005 community forum, in which they intimated that Fairfax County police would not follow Federal immigration laws. Shockingly, Sgt. Rasool is still a member of the Fairfax County police force.
One thing that this blog did not report on was that Col. Rohrer spoke at the November 2006 CAIR fundraising dinner.

Jihad Watch: Virginia Muslim police sergeant who tipped off jihadist gets probation
It's been a long time since I've blogged on Northern Virginiastan, but it would be remiss of me not to discuss this article from Robert Spencer's Jihad Watch: Virginia Muslim police sergeant who tipped off jihadist gets probation.
This article is about Sgt. Weiss Rasool of the Farifax County police, who tipped off a suspected jihadist that law enforcement vehicles might be tailing him. According to the Washington Post article:
The target was arrested in November 2005, then convicted and deported, according to court filings in Rasool's case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeanine Linehan said that the target and his family were already dressed and destroying evidence at 6 a.m. when agents arrived to make the arrest, indicating that they had been tipped off.
All Rasool got for sabotaging a terrorist investigation was two years of supervised probation and a $1,000 fine. At the time of this article (April 23), he was put on administrative leave with pay. WaPo readers who commented on this article were indignant. This sergeant should be fired.
